Knowledge and practices of exclusive breastfeeding in primiparous mothers of the joint accommodation service of a health center in Huanuco - 2023

Abstract

Introduction: Exclusive breastfeeding LME is an activity that allows feeding the newborn only with breast milk without adding any other solid or liquid food, not even water, up to 6 months of age and that brings a series of benefits, especially to the child and the mother, however, the mother in many cases is unaware of its importance and its advantages and fundamentally the practice of breastfeeding. Objective: To determine the relationship between the knowledge and practices of EBF in primiparous mothers of the Joint Accommodation Service of a Health Center in Huánuco - 2023. Methods: applied, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional study. The probabilistic sample is made up of 60 primiparous mothers. The survey and observation will be used as a technique and the questionnaire and an observation sheet will be used as instruments. The information obtained will be organized in an Excel database, which will be processed in the SPSS software (v. 25.0), presenting the results in tables and figures. The general and specific hypotheses will be contrasted with the relevant statistician according to the results. of the normality test using an ordinal measurement scale.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los conocimientos y prácticas de LME en madres primíparas del Servicio de Alojamiento Conjunto de un Centro de Salud de Huánuco -2023. Métodos: estudio de tipo aplicado, cuantitativo, correlacional y transversal. La muestra de tipo probabilístico está conformada por 60 madres primíparas. Como técnica se utilizará la encuesta y la observación y como instrumentos se empleará el cuestionario y una ficha de observación. La información obtenida se organizará en una base de datos en Excel las mismas que serán procesados en el software SPSS (v. 25.0), presentando los resultados en tablas y figuras La hipótesis general y específicas se contrastarán con el estadígrafo pertinente de acuerdo a los resultados de la prueba de normalidad utilizando una escala de medición ordinal.
