Occupational risks and quality of life in the nursing staff of the emergency unit, Gustavo Lanatta Luján – Huacho hospital - 2021

Abstract

The PAHO and the Ministry of Health (MINSA) acknowledge that nursing professionals are exposed to various occupational risks, including biological, physical, chemical, and mental risks, which negatively affect their health. Job satisfaction and performance determine the quality of life in their workplace. In the emergency service, they provide initial care, and therefore, one of the consistent problems is anxiety and improper postures. These issues are faced by nurses, as evidenced in various hospitals across our country.

Objective: To evaluate the relationship between occupational risks and quality of life in the nursing staff of the emergency unit at the Gustavo Lanatta Lujan Hospital in Huacho, 2021. This is a quantitative-correlational, cross-sectional, non-experimental study. The probabilistic simple random sample consists of 95 nurses. Data collection will use two forms validated in previous studies. Both variables will be assessed using surveys, with the instrument being the questionnaire. The occupational risks variable, according to Colan, D. and Núñez, L. (2016), has a Cronbach's alpha of 0.88, and for the quality of life variable, Sosa Cerda (2009) has a Cronbach's alpha of 0.81, ensuring reliability for both instruments. Statistical analysis will be performed using the SPSS program, and Spearman's R correlation will be used for correlation testing.

La OPS y MINSA hacen conocimiento que los Licenciados en Enfermería se exponen a diversos riesgos laborales como biológicos, físicos, químicos y mentales que quiebran la salud del profesional, la satisfacción y rendimiento determina la calidad de vida en su unidad laboral; en el servicio de emergencias ofrece las primeras atenciones, por ello uno de los problemas congruentes son ansiedad y posturas inadecuadas; estos problemas enfrenta el enfermero evidenciándose en diferentes nosocomios de nuestro país. Objetivo: Evaluar la relación entre los riesgos laborales y la calidad de vida en el personal de enfermería de la unidad de emergencias del Hospital Gustavo Lanatta Lujan de Huacho 2021 Estudio cuantitativo-correlacional, corte transversal - no experimental. Muestra probabilística aleatoria simple 95 enfermeros. la recogida de datos utilizará dos formularios validados en estudios anteriores, ambas variables la técnica a usar será la encuesta con su instrumento el cuestionario, la variable riesgo laborales según Colan, D y Núñez, L (2016) un alfa de cronbach de 0.88 y para la variable calidad de vida Sosa Cerda (2009) un alfa de cronbach de 0.81; dando fiabilidad ambos instrumentos. Análisis estadístico se realizará en el programa SPSS, la contratación de correlación se empleará la correlacional R Sperman.
