Use of the internet and start of sexual activity in students of the fisrt and second cycle of the profesional academic school of obstetrics, Private University Norbert Wiener; in the semester 2019-I. Lima

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the association between internet use and the initiation of sexual relationships among students from the first and second cycles of the Professional School of Obstetrics at the Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener in Lima, during the 2019-I semester. The study was non-experimental, basic, relational, observational, cross-sectional, and analytical. Results showed that 88.2% of students were under 20 years old, 88.2% were women, and 96.5% were single. The majority of students aged 16 to 19 used the internet more hours a day, accessed more types of social media, and visited educational, recreational, pornographic, and social websites more frequently. However, the study concluded that the time spent on the internet, sociodemographic characteristics, types of social networks, and types of websites did not influence the initiation of sexual relationships among the surveyed students.

Determinar la asociación del uso del internet e inicio de las relaciones sexuales de los estudiantes universitarios del primer y segundo ciclo de la Escuela Académico Profesional de Obstetricia, Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener; en el semestre 2019-I Lima. Diseño no experimental, de tipo básica, nivel relacional observacional, de corte transversal, analítico; retrospectivo. Se encontró: el 88.2% de los estudiantes son <20 años de edad. El 88.2% de los estudiantes fueron mujeres. El 96.5 % estudiantes encuestados eran solteros. La mayoría de los alumnos encuestado entre 16 a 19 años de edad fue el mayor rango de edad que utiliza más horas al día el internet en el celular, fue el mayor rango de edad que utiliza más tipos de red social en el celular y fue el mayor rango de edad que utiliza páginas educativas, recreativas, pornográficas y sociales en el celular. Según los resultados, el tiempo del uso del internet en el celular, características sociodemográficas, el tipo de red social y el tipo de página web, no influyen en el inicio de las relaciones sexuales en los estudiantes encuestados.
