Effectiveness of the fastrach laryngeal mask in comparison with other supraglottic devices in intubation in adult patients.

Abstract

Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of the Fastrach laryngeal mask compared to other supraglottic devices in intubation in adult patients. According to the articles, 80% of the studies demonstrate the effectiveness of supraglottic laryngeal masks for airway management in adult patients. This results in a higher percentage of successful intubations on the first attempt, less time needed for successful intubations, and the conventional tube can be used for blind tracheal intubation. 20% of the studies show effectiveness because they present less incidence of sore throat, less dysphonia, and hoarseness after the removal of supraglottic devices. In the conclusions, it is determined that the Fastrach supraglottic laryngeal masks are effective for airway management in adult patient intubation. In (8/10) of the studies, a higher percentage of intubations on the first attempt is achieved, less time is needed for successful intubations, and the conventional tube can be used for blind tracheal intubation. Likewise, in (2/10) of the studies, effectiveness is demonstrated due to a lower incidence of sore throat, less dysphonia, and hoarseness after the removal of supraglottic devices.

Sistematizar las evidencias sobre la efectividad de la máscara laríngea fastrach en comparación con otros dispositivos supra glóticos en la intubación en pacientes adultos. Los resultados según los artículos el 80% de los estudios evidencian efectividad de las máscaras laríngeas supra glóticas, para el manejo de vías aéreas en el paciente adulto, se alcanza mayor porcentaje de intubaciones al primer intento, menos tiempo de éxito en intubaciones, el tubo convencional se pude usar para la intubación traqueal a ciegas, el 20% evidencian efectividad porque, presentan menos incidencia de dolor de garganta, menor disfonía y ronquera después del retiro de los dispositivos supra glóticos. En las conclusiones se determina la efectividad de las máscaras laríngeas supra glóticas fastrach para el manejo de vías aéreas en la intubación del paciente adulto, se tiene con (8/10) artículos de los estudios se alcanza mayor porcentaje de intubaciones al primer intento, menos tiempo de éxito en intubaciones, el tubo convencional se pude usar para la intubación traqueal a ciegas, así mismo en (2/10) de los estudios evidencian la efectividad porque presentan menos incidencia de dolor de garganta, menor disfonía y ronquera después del retiro de los dispositivos supra glóticos.
