Factors associated with the participation of mothers with children under one year of age in the control of CRED. Flor de Amancaes Health Center –Rímac.

Abstract

Methodology: The study is non-experimental, retrospective, observational, cross-sectional, and has a case-control design. The population consisted of 138 mothers, with a total of 52 cases and controls. A valid and reliable questionnaire and checklist were applied to them. Results: The factors with the greatest association with maternal participation in the CRED check-up are: place of origin (p-value of chi square 0.003 and OR=3.29 (1.47;7.37)), marital status (p-value of chi square 0.001 and OR=4.42 (1.80;10.89)), monthly income (p-value of chi square 0.003 and OR=3.60 (1.49;8.67)), family planning (p-value of chi square 0.001 and OR=4.42 (1.80;10.89)), difficulties or impediments to get an appointment at CRED (p-value of chi square 0.003 and OR=3.64 (1.49;7.59)), number of slots at CRED (p-value of chi square 0.003 and OR=3.28 1.47;7.32)), and if the information provided by the nurse is easy to understand (p value of chi square 0.000 and OR=8.12 3,(19;20.68)). Conclusions: Personal and institutional factors are associated with the participation of mothers with children under one year of age, except for educational level and harmful habits.

Metodología: El estudio es no experimental, retrospectivo, observacional, transversal, el diseño corresponde a casos y controles. la población estuvo conformada por 138 madres, se trabajó con el total de casos: 52 casos y controles. Se les aplicó un cuestionario y lista de cotejo valido y confiable. Resultados: Los factores con mayor asociación a la participación de la madre en el control CRED son: el lugar de procedencia (valor p de chi cuadrado 0,003 y OR=3.29 (1,47;7,37)), el estado civil (valor p de chi cuadrado 0,001 y OR=4,42 (1,80;10,89)), el ingreso mensual (valor p de chi cuadrado 0,003 y OR=3,60 (1,49;8,67)), planificación familiar (valor p de chi cuadrado 0,001 y OR=4,42 (1,80;10,89)), las dificultades o impedimentos para sacar la cita en CRED (valor p de chi cuadrado 0,003 y OR=3,64 (1,49;7,59)), el número de cupos en CRED (valor p de chi cuadrado 0,003 y OR=3,28 1,47;7,32)), y si la información que brinda la enfermera es fácil de entender (valor p de chi cuadrado 0,000 y OR=8,12 3,(19;20,68)). Conclusiones: Los factores personales e institucionales están asociados a la participación de las madres con niños menores de un año a excepción de grado de instrucción y hábito nocivo.
