Level of knowledge and its relationship with the practice on clinical handwashing of nursing students of the seventh cycle of the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2022

Abstract

The main objective of this research has been to establish the relationship between the level of knowledge with the practice on clinical hand washing of nursing students in the seventh cycle of the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2022; To this end, a deductive method was used in a basic type of research, with a non-experimental design and a quantitative approach in a total sample of 87 nursing students from the seventh cycle of the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2022; to whom two questionnaires were applied whose purpose was to measure the variables knowledge and practice of hand washing. What allowed us to find as main results the existence of a significance of 0.004 (p=<0.05) as well as a Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient of .512; It was concluded that there is a positive average relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of clinical handwashing among nursing students in the seventh cycle of the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2022. It is suggested that the results obtained be disseminated. with the aim of promoting the importance of adequate care by nursing staff.

Objetivo: Analizar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento con la práctica sobre lavado de manos clínicos de los estudiantes de enfermería del séptimo ciclo de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima 2022; Método: hipotético deductivo, en un tipo de investigación básico, con un diseño no experimental y un enfoque cuantitativo. Muestra: de 87 estudiantes de enfermería del séptimo ciclo de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima 2022; a quienes se les aplicó dos cuestionarios que tenían como finalidad medir las variables conocimiento y práctica de lavado de manos. Lo que permitió encontrar como principales Resultados: que la existencia de una significancia 0.004 (p=<0.05) así como también un coeficiente de correlación de Rho de Spearman de ,512; se llegó a la conclusión de que hay una relación media positiva entre el nivel de conocimiento con la práctica sobre lavado de manos clínicos de los estudiantes de enfermería del séptimo ciclo de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima 2022.
