Work stress related to the quality of working life of nurses in the emergency area of Hospital del Sur, june-2022

Abstract

Stress is considered a global health problem; the recent pandemic has generated a greater burden on health personnel in their work; Likewise, it is a physical and psychological response generated by stimuli that cause imbalances or alterations in emotional states. While, the quality of life in relation to the workplace is linked to various aspects of daily life and with the various conditions that stand in the way of the workplace. This research has the purpose of determining the relationship between work stress and the quality of life of nurses in the emergency area of the Hospital del Sur, June - 2022. The study presented is of a basic type, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design. correlational and cross-sectional level, using questionnaires that are instruments of the survey technique in a census sample of 30 nurses. Work stress will be measured using The Nursing Stress Scale (ST) questionnaire, by Gray-Toft and Anderson in its Spanish version adapted and validated by Más y Escribá, which has a total of 34 items. On the other hand, the instrument of quality of life at work, the CVT-GOHISALO developed by Gonzales and other, both with adequate validity and reliability.

El estrés es considerado una problemática de salud mundial; la reciente pandemia ha generado en el personal de salud una mayor carga en sus labores; asimismo, es una respuesta física y psicológica generada por estímulos que causan desequilibrios o alteraciones en los estados emocionales. Mientras que, la calidad de vida en relación al ámbito laboral está vinculada con diversos aspectos de la vida diaria y con las variadas condiciones que se interponen en el campo laboral. Esta investigación tiene el propósito de determinar la relación entre el estrés laboral y la calidad de vida de enfermeros del área de emergencia del Hospital del Sur, junio – 2022. El estudio que se presenta es de tipo básica, con enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental de nivel correlacional y corte transversal, empleando cuestionarios que son instrumentos de la técnica de la encuesta en una muestra censal de 30 enfermeros/a. El estrés laboral se medirá mediante el cuestionario The Nursing Stress Scale (ST), de Gray Toft y Anderson en su versión castellana adaptada y validada por, Más y Escribá el cual tiene un total de 34 ítems. Por otra parte, el instrumento de calidad de vida en el trabajo, se empleará el CVT-GOHISALO elaborado por Gonzales y colaboradores, ambos con adecuada validez y confiabilidad
