Level of knowledge and its relationship with the practice of skin cancer prevention in students in the fourth and fifth year of secondary school of the “Praderas II Etapa” educational institution, Santa Anita - Lima - 2022

Abstract

Objective: Determining the level of knowledge is related to the practice of skin cancer prevention in students of the fourth and fifth year of secondary school of the Educational Institution "Praderas II Etapa" Santa Anita Lima 2022. Methodology: A quantitative study approach was developed, applied, non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional; The population was 80 students of the fourth and fifth year of high school of the Educational Institution "Praderas II Stage" Santa Anita Lima. Results, the level of knowledge with the skin cancer prevention practice is regular knowledge with regular prevention practice in 68.8%. The level of knowledge in its general aspects dimension is related to skin cancer prevention practice, there is regular knowledge in its general aspects dimension with regular prevention practice in 57.5%. The level of knowledge in its clinical manifestations dimension is related to skin cancer prevention practice, there is regular knowledge in its clinical manifestations dimension with regular prevention practice in 56.3%. The level of knowledge in its dimension of risk factors is related to the practice of prevention of skin cancer, there is regular knowledge in its dimension of risk factors with regular prevention practice in 38.8%. The level of knowledge in its prevention dimension is related to the practice of skin cancer prevention, there is regular knowledge in its prevention dimension with regular prevention practice in 57.5%.

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento se relaciona con la práctica de prevención del cáncer de piel en estudiantes del cuarto y quinto año de secundaria de la Institución Educativa “Praderas II Etapa” Santa Anita Lima 2022 Material y métodos: Se desarrolló enfoque de estudio cuantitativo, aplicado, no experimental, correlacional, de corte transversal; La población fue de 80 estudiantes del cuarto y quinto año de secundaria de la Institución Educativa “Praderas II Etapa” Santa Anita Lima. En cuanto al cuestionario de conocimiento del cáncer de piel está formado por 30 preguntas divididas en cuatro dimensiones: la dimensión de conocimiento sobre aspectos generales, manifestaciones clínicas, factores de riesgo y la dimensión de prevención. En cuanto al cuestionario de prácticas de prevención del cáncer de piel Consta de 18 ítems divididos en 3 dimensiones: 5 ítems en la dimensión exposición, 6 ítems en la dimensión protección y 7 ítems en la dimensión cuidado personal
