Exposure to domestic violence and aggressive behavior in adolescents in the 4th and 5th year of high school of the educational institution Manuel Scorza Torres 7039, Chorrillos, Lima 2018.

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between exposure to intrafamily violence and aggressive behavior in adolescents from the 4th and 5th year of secondary education at the Manuel Scorza Torres Educational Institution, Chorrillos - Lima. Method: This study has a quantitative approach with a correlational and cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 98 students from the 4th and 5th year of secondary education. Data collection was conducted using a survey technique, with two Likert-type questionnaires titled: exposure to intrafamily violence and aggressive behavior in adolescents. Results: 64.3% of students are exposed to intrafamily violence, while 35.7% are not. Among the dimensions, violence between parents prevails at 67.3%. Regarding aggressive behavior, 58.2% of adolescents exhibit a high level of aggressive behavior, and 41.8% exhibit an average level. Using the Spearman statistical test, a positive relationship was found with a P-value = 0.022 and a calculated Rho = 0.231. Conclusion: Most students are exposed to intrafamily violence and exhibit aggressive behavior; there is a significant relationship between exposure to intrafamily violence and aggressive behavior in adolescents.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre la exposición a violencia intrafamiliar y la conducta agresiva en adolescentes del 4to y 5to año de secundaria de la Institución Educativa Manuel Scorza Torres, Chorrillos - Lima. Método: El presente estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo de diseño correlacional, y de corte transversal. La población estuvo constituida por 98 estudiantes del 4to. y 5to. año de secundaria. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y como instrumentos dos cuestionarios tipo Likert titulados: exposición a violencia intrafamiliar y conducta agresiva en adolescentes. Resultado: El 64.3% de los estudiantes presenta exposición a violencia intrafamiliar y un 35.7% no está expuesta. Según las dimensiones, es la violencia entre padres la que prevalece con un 67.3%. En cuanto a conducta agresiva, se encontró que un 58.2% de los adolescentes presentan un nivel alto de conducta agresiva, y un 41.8 % presentan un nivel de conducta agresiva promedio. Utilizando la prueba estadística de Spearman existe relación positiva con valor de P=0,022 y un Rho calculado =0.231. Conclusión: Los estudiantes en su mayoría presentan exposición a violencia intrafamiliar y conducta agresiva, existe una relación significativa entre exposición a violencia intrafamiliar y conducta agresiva en los adolescentes.
