Distance traveled and its relationship with the functional status of post covid-19 patients, Alberto Sabogal Hospital, Callao-2022

Abstract

The main objective of this research work is to determine the relationship that exists between the distance traveled through the 6-minute walk test and the functional status of post-covid-19 patients, Alberto Sabogal Hospital, Callao- 2022. Applying for the distance traveled a sub-maximal test such as the 6-minute walk which consists of measuring the maximum distance that a person can travel during a period of 6 minutes walking as fast as possible; This test allows for quantification of treatment outcomes and is particularly important to evaluate in the context of a care model that is rapidly changing as a result of the pandemic. and the post covid-19 functional scale to specify the functional status of patients through a structured interview that helps define the effectiveness of the therapy on functional results and quality of life after covid-19, either as a result of the specific infection. The hypothetical deductive method was used, because the central idea would be a hypothesis with empirical data using specific standards to reaffirm the truth or falsity of said initial hypothesis; quantitative approach, type of applied research, non-experimental design.

El presente trabajo de investigación, tiene como objetivo principal Determinar la relación que existe entre la distancia recorrida mediante el test de caminata de 6 minutos y el estado funcional de los pacientes post covid-19, Hospital Alberto Sabogal, Callao- 2022. Aplicando para la distancia recorrida una prueba sub máxima como la caminata de 6 minutos el cual consiste en medir la distancia máxima que una persona puede recorrer durante un periodo de 6 minutos andando tan acelerado como sea posible; Esta prueba permite la cuantificación de los resultados del tratamiento y es particularmente importante de evaluar en el contexto de un modelo de atención que cambia rápidamente a consecuencia de la pandemia. y la escala funcional post covid-19 para precisar el estado funcional de los pacientes mediante una entrevista estructurada que ayuda a definir la efectividad de la terapia en los resultados funcionales y la calidad de vida posteriores a covid-19, ya sea como resultado de la infección especifica. Se utilizó el método hipotético deductivo, porque la idea central estaría siendo una hipótesis con datos empíricos empleando normas específicas para reafirmar la veracidad o falsedad de dicha hipótesis inicial; de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo de investigación aplicada, de diseño no experimental.
