Job satisfaction and quality of care of the nursing staff in the emergency service of the Hipolito Unanue national hospital in times of Covid year 2020

Abstract

Introduction: The health area and the problems that concern it are of vital importance in living in society, since it is about the care of human lives, in it are involved different professionals corresponding to this area, one of them is the professional nursing staff, who trained under a profile must carry out their work as the first option in medical action. It is in normal times in itself is already very hectic with the action and above all the responsibility that it implies (1). Currently the same work activity is in charge of what it means to care for the patient of the Covid-19 pandemic, being those affected worldwide in reference to countries given the restrictions that were taken to counteract it. Covid 19 is an infectious disease caused by a virus, its effect can be lethal and it affects our nation in a singular way, since the high rates of infected people have significantly overloaded and even saturated hospitals throughout the country (2). Job satisfaction must be related to the experiences that will be achieved within the organizations, with the experiences that must be transformed into the perception of this and culminating on the one hand in an emotional process and on the other, if it is satisfactory in better productivity and utility, both for the company and for the same. Since the beginning of nursing as a profession, they have managed to adapt and adjust their skills and performances in relation to the increase of their theoretical knowledge (12), about their area of development, in that sense their responsibility is to ensure the health of others, which is the basis of the quality of care, with elements such as ethics and professional values in reference to the care, restoration and sustainment of life. One of the first nursing theorists was Florence Nightingale, who applied her concepts to reality and the care of people's health (13).

Introducción: El área de salud y la problemática que incumbe a su interior es vital importancia en el vivir en sociedad, pues se trata de la atención de vidas humanas, en ella están involucrados diferentes profesionales correspondientes a esta área, una de ellas es el personal Enfermería, que formado bajo un perfil ha de realizar su labor como primera opción en la acción médica. Está en tiempos normales de por sí ya es muy agitada con la acción y sobre todo la responsabilidad que implica (1). Actualmente la misma actividad laboral se encarga lo que significa atender al paciente de la pandemia Covid- 19, siendo los afectados a nivel mundial en referencia a países dadas restricción que se tomaron para contrarrestarlo. El Covid 19 es enfermedad infecciosa causada por un virus, su efecto llega a ser letal y que afecta de singular manera a nuestra nación, pues los altos índices de infectados que a sobrecargado e incluso saturado de manera significativa los nosocomios de todo el país (2). La satisfacción laboral ha de relacionarse con las experiencias que se lograra al interior de las organizaciones, con las experiencias que ha de transformarse en la percepción de esta y culminando por un lado en proceso emocional y por otro, si es satisfactorio en mejor productividad y utilidad, tanto para la empresa como para el mismo. Desde inicios de la enfermería como profesión, han logrado adaptar y adecuar su competencias y desempeños en relación al incremento de sus conocimientos (12) teóricos, acerca de su área de desarrollo, en ese sentido su responsabilidad es velar por la salud de otros, que es la base de la calidad de atención, con elementos como la ética y valores profesionales en referencia al cuidado, restablecimiento y sostenimiento de la vida. Una de las primeras teóricas de la enfermería Florence Nightingale, quien aplico sus conceptos aplicados a la realidad y al cuidado de la salud de las personas (13).
