Knowledge about the safe surgery checklist and professional nursing practice in the surgical area of the national Institute of Child health, Lima 2024

Abstract

This research sets out to determine the relationship between knowledge of the surgical safety checklist and professional nursing practice in the surgical area. The methodology to be used is hypothetical-deductive with a non-experimental and correlational design, a quantitative approach, and a cross-sectional applied type. The sample will consist of a population of professional nurses, and the entire population will be considered as a census sample, totaling 82 instrument nurses I and II working in the surgical center. The sampling is non-probabilistic. The questionnaire will be used as an instrument to measure variable 1. This questionnaire was validated in Bermudez 2022 research and consists of 10 items that correspond to the following dimensions: Entry, Pause, and Exit. Additionally, the Observational Guide instrument validated in Fuentes's 2018 study consists of 19 items and aligns with the following dimensions: Entry phase, pause phase, and exit phase. By using the statistical method through the SPSS 26 software to obtain the results, tables and graphs will be employed to analyze and interpret the collected data. Spearman's Rho statistical test will also be applied to confirm the hypothesis, taking into account only those with a high level of confidence and a minimal margin of error.

El objetivo de esta investigación: “Determinar como el conocimiento sobre la lista de verificación de cirugía segura se relaciona con la práctica profesional de enfermería en el área quirúrgica del instituto nacional de salud del niño, Lima 2024”. La metodología es hipotético deductivo de diseño no experimental y correlacional, de enfoque cuantitativo y de tipo aplicada, de corte transversal. La muestra estará constituida por una población de enfermeras profesionales y como muestra toda la población, un total de 82 enfermeras instrumentistas del centro quirúrgico, El muestreo es tipo no probabilístico. El instrumento es el cuestionario para medir la variable 1. Este fue validado en la investigación de Bermúdez (2022) consta de 10 ítems, responde a las dimensiones: Entrada, Pausa y salida. El Instrumento Guía observacional validado en el estudio de Fuentes (2018) consta de 19 ítems y responde a las dimensiones: fase entrada, fase pausa y fase salida. Se realizará el método estadístico mediante software SPSS 26, para obtener resultados se emplearán tablas y gráficos para analizar e interpretar los datos recolectados. También se aplicará prueba estadística de Rho de Spearman o Pearson, para confirmar la hipótesis se considerará los de nivel alto de confianza y margen de error mínimo.
