Knowledge and practice of the sterilization process of the nursing professional working in the sterilization center of a hospital in Cutervo 2022

Abstract

The sterilization center constitutes a determining service to contribute to the control of hospital infections. The objective of this research is to: Determine the relationship between the knowledge and practice of the sterilization process of the nursing professional who works in the sterilization center in a Cutervo hospital 2022. Material and methods: Hypothetical deductive, with a quantitative, observational, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational approach, the population will be made up of 17 nurses from a hospital in Cutervo. The technique to be used in the aforementioned study will be the survey with a questionnaire to measure knowledge and observation with a checklist to measure practice, taken from the work carried out by Eustaquio Fernández, Carmen, both instruments had a validity by expert judgment of 91.26 %, the questionnaire has a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.75663 and the checklist a Kruder Richarson coefficient of 0.704, indicating that both instruments are reliable. The data obtained will be organized in a database; the SPSS statistical program will be used for processing and analysis.

La central de esterilización constituye un servicio determinante para contribuir al control de las infecciones hospitalarias, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y la práctica del proceso de esterilización del profesional de enfermería que labora en la central de esterilización en un hospital de Cutervo 2022. Material y métodos: Hipotético deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, observacional, de corte transversal, descriptivo y correlacional, la población estará conformada por 17 enfermeras de un hospital de Cutervo. La técnica a utilizar en el mencionado estudio será la encuesta con un cuestionario para medir conocimiento y la observación con lista de cotejo para medir la práctica, tomado del trabajo realizado por Eustaquio Fernández, Carmen, ambos instrumentos tuvieron una validez por juicio de expertos de 91.26%, el cuestionario tiene un coeficiente de alfa de Cronbach de 0.75663 y la lista de cotejo un coeficiente de Kruder Richarson de 0.704 indicando que ambos instrumentos son confiables. Los datos que se obtengan serán organizados en una base de datos, para su proceso y análisis se utilizará el programa estadístico SPSS.
