Patient safety culture in the nursing staff of an intensive care unit of a hospital in Lima – 2020

Abstract

The present study will have a quantitative approach, in terms of the methodological design it will be a descriptive and cross-sectional observational research. The population will consist of nursing staff, both graduates and ICU Nursing technicians from a hospital in Lima, Peru. The sample is made up of the total population that meets the inclusion and exclusion guidelines; The type of sampling is non-probabilistic, the technique will be census, corresponding to taking the entire population. The present study has a main and only variable that is patient safety culture, according to its nature it is a qualitative variable and its quantification scale is ordinal.

El presente estudio será de enfoque cuantitativo, en cuanto al diseño metodológico será una investigación observacional de tipo descriptivo y de corte transversal. La población estará constituido por el personal de enfermería, tanto licenciados como técnicos de Enfermería de la UCI de un hospital en Lima, Perú. La muestra está constituida por el total de población que cumpla con las pautas de inclusión y exclusión; la clase de muestreo es el no probabilístico, la técnica será censal, correspondiente por tomar a toda la población. El presente estudio posee una variable principal y única que es cultura de seguridad de los pacientes, conforme a su naturaleza viene a ser una variable cualitativa y su escala de cuantificación es ordinal.
