Perception of the disease and adherence to treatment in patients with borderline personality disorder at the hospital, Huaraz, 2023

Abstract

The general objective of this research project will be: Determine the relationship between perception of the disease and adherence to treatment in patients with borderline personality disorder at the Hospital, Huaraz, 2023. The study population will be 80 patients (100%) who attend to the hospital with a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. The research method used is a type of hypothetical deductive cross-sectional design of a non-experimental applied type. A questionnaire will be used to collect data as a method, the survey technique; as instruments: the "Brief Questionnaire on Illness Perception (BIPQ)", validated by the VARIMAX test, with reliability analysis of á= 0.67 of Cronbach's alpha, variance of 61.46% and the "Medication Adherence Questionnaire Morisky-8 items (MMAS-8)", with an internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha) of 0.77 and a significant 0.16 (p = 0.000), which indicates that the instruments are reliable. In turn, the appropriate statistical tests will be used to confirm the hypotheses. For the subsequent processing and analysis of the data obtained during the study, the latest version of the SSPS Statistics program and the Microsoft Excel program will be used to present statistical tables.

El objetivo general de este proyecto de investigación será: Determinar la relación entre percepción de la enfermedad y adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con trastorno límite de la personalidad del Hospital, Huaraz, 2023. La población de estudio será 80 pacientes (100%) que acuden al hospital con diagnóstico de trastorno límite de la personalidad. El método de investigación utilizado es un tipo de diseño transversal hipotético deductivo de tipo aplicada no experimental. Se utilizará un cuestionario para recopilar datos como método, la técnica la encuesta; como instrumentos: el “Cuestionario breve sobre percepción de la enfermedad (BIPQ)“, validado mediante la prueba de VARIMAX, con análisis de confiabilidad de á= 0.67 de alfa de Cronbach, varianza de 61.46% y el “Cuestionario de Adherencia a la Medicación de Morisky-8 ítems (MMAS-8)“, con una consistencia interna (alfa de Cronbach) de 0,77 y de 0,16 significativa (p = 0,000), lo que indica que los instrumentos son fiables. A su vez, se utilizarán las pruebas estadísticas adecuadas para confirmar las hipótesis. Para el posterior procesamiento y análisis de los datos obtenidos durante el estudio se utilizará la última versión del programa SSPS Statistics y el programa Microsoft Excel para presentar cuadros estadísticos
