The level of knowledge and practices of umbilical cord care in mothers of newborns treated at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital 2022.

Abstract

The main purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of umbilical cord care in a public hospital, Lima 2022, using a quantitative approach, with an applied research type, with a descriptive and correlational level with a non-experimental design, and cross-sectional, considering a sample of 81 mothers of newborns, to whom two questionnaires will be applied, one for the variable level of knowledge and for the variable practices in the care of the umbilical cord of Quespaz (2021), which are validated and with their reliability and the information will be processed using the SPSS statistical program version 26.0 to obtain the results of the descriptive and inferential analysis.

El estudio tuvo como propósito principal determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y la práctica del cuidado del cordón umbilical de un hospital público, Lima 2022, empleado un enfoque cuantitativo, con tipo de investigación aplicada, con un nivel descriptivo y correlacional con un diseño no experimental, y corte transversal, considerando una muestra de 81 madres de recién nacidos, que se aplicarán dos cuestionario uno para la variable nivel de conocimientos y para la variable prácticas en el cuidado del cordón umbilical de Quespaz (2021), los cuales están validados y con su confiabilidad y se procesaran la información mediante el programa de estadístico SPSS versión 26.0 para obtener los resultados del análisis descriptivo e inferencial.
