Mother's level of knowledge about early stimulation in infants under 1 year old at the growth and development office of a health center, Manchay.

Abstract

Objective: To determine the level of knowledge of mothers regarding early stimulation in infants under one year old who visit the growth and development clinic of a health center in Manchay, 2020. Materials and methods: The study is quantitative, with a cross-sectional-descriptive design. The population will consist of 224 mothers of infants under one year old attending the growth and development clinic. The sample will be 142 mothers, with inclusion criteria focused on those attending the clinic and signing consent. A survey with a Likert scale will be applied, covering the following topics: stimulation of sensory skills, motor skills, language, and cognitive development. Statistical analysis will be performed using descriptive statistics and SPSS.

Objetivo general: determinar el nivel de conocimientos de las madres sobre estimulación temprana en lactantes menores de 1 año que acuden al consultorio de crecimiento y desarrollo de un Centro de Salud, Manchay 2020. Materiales y métodos: el enfoque será cuantitativo, diseño transversal-descriptivo. La población estará conformada por 224 madres de lactantes menores de un año que asisten al consultorio de crecimiento y desarrollo de un Centro de Salud ubicado en Manchay, durante los meses de setiembre a diciembre del 2020. Con un 5% margen de error y 95% de confianza, la muestra a trabajar será 142 madres. El instrumento utilizado será un cuestionario, que consta de 31 ítems validado en el contexto nacional. Para el análisis estadístico se realizará usando el software estadístico informático statical package for the social sciences(SPSS), presentando frecuencias y porcentajes. Serán aplicados los principios bioéticos de la investigación.
