Feeling of loneliness and quality of life in the elderly of the Señor de la Ascension home, Lima - 2022

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between the feeling of loneliness and the quality of life in a population of older adults from the Hogar Señor de la Ascensión. As part of the study, a search was made for solutions with timely nursing care for the older adult population. Material and Methods: This type of research is observational, descriptive, correlational level or scope, cross-sectional, with a quantitative approach in which the hypothetical and deductive method was applied. The population under study is made up of 60 older adults in the residence. The research instruments that were applied were: the Feeling of Loneliness and Quality of Life Test, which have a good validation and reliability index. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were maintained for the interview. Results: According to Spearman's Rho, it showed an index of -0.892, which indicates a strong inverse correlation between the variables, which is highly significant. Conclusions: According to the results obtained, it is concluded that there is a relationship between the feeling of loneliness and the quality of life of the older adult.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación del sentimiento de soledad con la calidad de vida en una población de adultos mayores del Hogar Señor de la Ascensión, como parte del estudio se realizó la búsqueda de soluciones con las atenciones oportunas de enfermería a la población adulta mayor. Material y Métodos: Este tipo de investigación es observacional, descriptivo, de nivel o alcance correlacional, de corte transversal, con enfoque cuantitativo en el cual se aplicó el método hipotético y deductivo. la población objeto de estudio está constituido por 60 adultos mayores en la residencia. Los instrumentos de investigación que se aplicaron fueron: el Test de Sentimiento de Soledad y Calidad de Vida los cuales tienen un índice de validación y confiabilidad buenas, se mantuvo los criterios de inclusión y exclusión para la realización de la entrevista. Resultados: según el Rho de Spearman arrojo un índice de -0.892 que señala una fuerte correlación inversa entre las variables, lo cual es altamente significativo. Conclusiones: Según los resultados conseguidos se concluye que existe una relación entre el sentimiento de soledad y la calidad de vida del adulto mayor.
