Level of knowledge about intestinal parasitosis and practices of preventive measures in mothers of children under 5 years of age at the Jesús Poderoso Health Center 2023

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and practices of preventive measures for intestinal parasitosis in mothers of children under 5 years of age in a Health Center 2023. Materials and methods: the research method was hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, descriptive-correlational level and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of xx mothers of children under 5 years of age. The technique used was the survey and the type of sampling was non-probabilistic, intentional. The instruments used were the questionnaire on mothers' knowledge of intestinal parasitosis by Tuesta, M. and the Geldres and Velásquez questionnaire.

El método de investigación fue hipotético deductivo, de tipo aplicada, nivel correlacional y el diseño no experimental y transversal. La muestra se conforma por 100 madres de familia de hijos con edades inferiores a los 5 años, usando la técnica de muestreo no probabilístico. La técnica utilizada será la encuesta y los instrumentos serán los cuestionarios de conocimientos de las madres sobre la parasitosis intestinal de Mitra, R. y el cuestionario de práctica de medidas preventivas de Geldres y Velásquez. El análisis estadístico será a través de pruebas estadísticas de correlación (Pearson si los datos pertenecen a una distribución normal y Spearman si de descarta la hipótesis de normalidad).
