Level of knowledge and its relationship with care in the administration of parenteral nutrition of the nurses of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Service of the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital, Lima - 2023

Abstract

The research called “Level of knowledge and its relationship with care in the administration of parenteral nutrition of nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit service of the Villa el Salvador Emergency Hospital, Lima -2023”, aims to: Analyzing the relationship between the level of knowledge with the care in the administration of parenteral nutrition of the nurses of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Service of the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital, Lima-2023. The function of the nurse is transcendental and integral in the process of providing parenteral nutrition, covering activities before, during and after administration; for this is accurate have qualified and well-prepared personnel since the prognosis of the newborn and the success of nutritional therapy depend mainly on this care. Material and Method: applicative, quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional study and correlational scope. The total population consider will, made of 80 nurses from said establishment during 2023.Regarding the collection of information, two tools will be used: an observation sheet and questionnaire.

La investigación denominada “Nivel de conocimientos y su relación con los cuidados en la administración de nutrición parenteral de las enfermeras del servicio de Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatal del Hospital de Emergencias Villa el Salvador, Lima- 2023”, tiene la finalidad de: Analizar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos con los cuidados en la administración de nutrición parenteral de las enfermeras del Servicio de Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatal del Hospital de Emergencias Villa El Salvador, Lima -2023. La función de la enfermera es trascendental e integral en el proceso de suministro de nutrición parenteral, abarcando actividades antes, durante y después de la administración; por ello, es necesario el contar con un personal calificado y bien preparado, ya que de estos cuidados depende principalmente el pronóstico del neonato y el éxito en la terapia nutricional. Material y Método: Estudio aplicativo, cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal y alcance correlacional. Se considera al total de la población, compuesta por 80 enfermeras de dicho establecimiento durante el 2023. En cuanto a la recolección de información, se utilizarán dos herramientas: una ficha de observación y un cuestionario.
