Stress in intensive care unit nurses during the COVID 19 pandemic, in a private clinic, Lima Metropolitana - 2020

Abstract

Objective: Determine the stress in nursing staff of the Intensive Care Unit during the COVID 19 pandemic, in a private clinic, Metropolitan Lima. Material and method: The study developed had a quantitative approach, with a descriptive-cross-sectional methodological design. There was a population of 72 members of the ICU nursing staff. The technique used was the survey and the instrument was the Nursing Stress Scale - The Nursing Stress Scale (NSS), by Gray-Toft and Anderson, made up of 34 items that are distributed in three dimensions.

Objetivo: Determinar el estrés en personal de enfermería de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos durante la pandemia COVID 19, en una clínica privada, Lima Metropolitana. Material y método: El estudio desarrollado fue de enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño metodológico descriptivo-transversal. Se contó con una población de 72 miembros del personal de enfermería de la UCI. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y el instrumento la Escala de Estrés de Enfermería - The Nursing Stress Scale (NSS), de Gray -Toft y Anderson, conformada por 34 ítems que se distribuyen en tres dimensiones.
