Level of knowledge and attitudes of parents about the kangaroo mother method in premature newborns in the neonatology area at the international clinic, Lima-2023

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitude of parents about the kangaroo mother method in premature newborns in the area of neonatology, at the International Clinic, Lima-2023. Method: The research corresponds to a quantitative approach, following the hypothetical-deductive method, being applied under an observational cross-sectional design. The population will be made up of 35 parents whose premature newborns required the use of the Kangaroo Mother Method. As a data collection technique, the survey will be applied and the questionnaire as an instrument, the latter validated through experts and its reliability calculated through the Alpha. of Cronbach. The data collected will be digitized using the Microsoft Excel 2019 program, to be processed for descriptive analysis and the relationship between both variables will be determined by Pearson's correlation.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento con la actitud de los padres sobre el método madre canguro en recién nacidos prematuros del área de neonatología, en la Clínica Internacional, Lima-2023. Método: La investigación corresponde a un enfoque cuantitativo, siguiendo el método hipotético deductivo, siendo de tipo aplicada bajo un diseño observacional- transversal. La población estará conformada por 35 padres que cuyos recién nacidos prematuros requerían del uso del Método Madre Canguro Como técnica de recolección de datos se aplicará la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario, este último validado a través de expertos y su confiabilidad calculada a través del Alfa de Cronbach. Los datos recolectados serán digitalizados haciendo uso del programa Microsoft Excel 2019, para ser tratados para su análisis descriptivo y la relación entre ambas variables se determinará mediante la correlación de Pearson.
