Level of knowledge and compliance on the storage of sterile material in the nursing staff of the sterilization center of the Belen Lambayeque hospital, 2023

Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and compliance with storage of sterile material in nursing staff at the Sterilization Center of the Belén Lambayeque hospital from November 2022 - July 2023. Methodology: The design will be non-experimental, quantitative, transversal, descriptive and correlational. The population will be made up of nurses working at the Sterilization Center and the sample will be 60 of them. Instruments: to measure both variables, two questionnaires will be used as instruments; likewise, both variables were validated by experts. The questionnaire to measure the level of knowledge of sterile material storage had a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.79 and the questionnaire to calculate compliance with sterile material storage had a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.93. Pearson and Spearman's Rho will help to know the correlation and level of significance. After attaching the data, it will be transferred to an Excel spreadsheet and then transferred to the SPSS statistical program in order to have an objective analysis.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y cumplimiento de almacenamiento del material estéril en personal de enfermería en Central de Esterilización del hospital Belén Lambayeque de noviembre 2022 - julio 2023. Metodología: El diseño será no experimental, cuantitativo, transversal, descriptivo y correlacional. La población será conformada de enfermeros trabajadores del Centro de Esterilización y la muestra de 60 de ellos. Instrumentos: para medir ambas variables se usarán dos cuestionarios como instrumento, asimismo, ambas variables fueron validadas por expertos. El cuestionario para medir el nivel de conocimiento de almacenamiento de marial estéril tuvo un Alfa de Cronbach de 0.79 y el cuestionario para calcular el cumplimiento de almacenamiento de material estéril tuvo un Alfa de Cronbach de 0.93. Pearson y Rho de Spearman ayudaran a conocer la correlación y nivel de significancia. Posteriormente a adjuntar la data, se trasladará a una hoja de cálculo Excel para luego pasarlo al programa estadístico SPSS a fin de tener un análisis objetivo.
