Level of anxiety of the patient in the preoperative period in the specialty surgery service of a level iii hospital in Lima. August - December 2021

Abstract

It is a quantitative study with a descriptive, cross-sectional design. The population will consist of 72 hospitalized patients scheduled for surgery in the specialty surgery department of a National Hospital Level III in Lima between January and August 2021. Patients will be selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria outlined in the study. The survey technique will be used through the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) questionnaire, adapted to the Spanish version, which consists of 20 statements that will measure the dimensions of anxiety in 10 positive items and 10 negative items.

Es un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, en relación al diseño metodológico es de tipo descriptivo, de corte transversal. La población estará formada por 72 paciente hospitalizados y programados para cirugía del departamento de cirugía especialidades de un hospital Nacional Nivel III de Lima entre los meses de enero – agosto 2021, serán elegidos según a los criterios inclusión y exclusión planteada en el estudio. Se empleará la técnica de la encuesta a través del Cuestionario de Ansiedad Estado/Rasgo (STAI), adaptada a la versión española que consta de 20 afirmaciones que medirá las dimensiones de la ansiedad en 10 ítems positivos y 10 ítems negativos.
