Knowledge and practices on breastfeeding in primiparous mothers of the Maternal and Child Health Center of Lima - 2023

Abstract

Breastfeeding within an hour after birth is a powerful line of defense, it is also considered the first vaccine against all forms of child malnutrition, due to its multiple properties it ensures growth and above all adequate development, since it has nutrients, proteins, amino acids that cannot be replaced, and also prevents sudden death, as well as childhood diseases. This study will have as objective: "Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practice on breastfeeding in primiparous mothers of a Maternal and Child center in Lima, 2023". The method will be hypothetical deductive, the correlational, non-experimental and cross-sectional design, of the applied type, the sample will consist of 100 primiparous mothers who attend the Tahuantinsuyo Bajo Maternal and Child Center, as a data collection instrument, the survey will be used and the observation guide, to process and analyze the data, Microsoft Excel and version 26 of SPSS will be used. For the hypothesis test, the Spearmans correlation coefficient test will be applied, the final results of the study will be shown in tables and/or graphs.

La lactancia materna dentro de una hora después del nacimiento, es una poderosa línea de defensa, también se le considera como la primera vacuna contra todas las formas de desnutrición infantil, por sus múltiples propiedades aseguran el crecimiento y sobre todo un desarrollo adecuado, ya que posee nutrientes, proteínas, aminoácidos que no pueden ser reemplazados, además, evita la muerte súbita, así como enfermedades propias de la infancia. Este estudio, tendrá como como objetivo: “Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y la práctica sobre lactancia materna en madres primigestas de un Centro Materno Infantil de Lima, 2023”. El método será hipotético deductivo, el diseño correlacional, no experimental y de corte trasversal, de tipo aplicada, la muestra estará constituida por 100 madres primigestas que acuden al centro de salud Materno Infantil Tahuantinsuyo Bajo, como instrumento de recolección de datos, se empleará la encuesta y la guía de observación, para procesar y analizar los datos se utilizará el Microsoft Excel y la versión 26 del SPSS. Para la prueba de hipótesis se aplicará la prueba coeficiente de correlación Spearman, los resultados finales del estudio se mostrarán en tablas y/o gráficos.
