Family functionality and self-management in people with type II diabetes mellitus from the endocrinology clinic of the national hospital PNP Luis Nicasio Saenz.

Abstract

Objective: To describe the correlation between family functionality and self-management in people diagnosed with Type II Diabetes Mellitus at the Endocrinology outpatient clinic of the Central PNP Hospital Luis Nicasio Sáenz. Materials and methods: A quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional approach will be used with a sample of 109 patients. The survey technique will be employed, and the instruments used will be the Family APGAR, developed by Gabriel Smilkstein, and the Partners in Health Scale for Chronic Disease Self-Management.

Objetivo: Describir la correlación existente entre la funcionalidad familiar y el automanejo en personas con diagnóstico de Diabetes Mellitus tipo II- del consultorio de Endocrinología del Hospital Central PNP Luis Nicasio Sáenz. Material y métodos: Es de enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo correlacional, transversal, que estará conformada por una muestra de 109 usuarios, se utilizara la técnica de encuesta y los instrumentos a utilizar serán el APGAR familiar elaborado por Gabriel Smilkstein y el cuestionario de Automanejo en enfermedades crónicas (Partners in Health Scale).
