Effectiveness of manual CPR in survival for saving lives in patients with sudden cardiac arrest

Abstract

It was a systematic, observational, and retrospective review. The search was restricted to full-text articles, which were subjected to critical reading, using the GRADE assessment to identify their level of evidence. Of the total 100% (10) scientific articles reviewed, 60% (6) were from Spain, 20% (2) from the United Kingdom, 10% (1) from Italy, and 10% (1) from Colombia. Furthermore, the reviewed scientific articles were all systematic reviews, 100% (10), from Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Colombia. Results: According to the findings of the reviewed scientific studies, 100% demonstrated that manual CPR is effective in saving lives in patients with sudden cardiac arrest. Conclusions: The systematic review allows us to demonstrate that manual CPR is effective in survival to save lives in patients with sudden cardiac arrest.

Fue una revisión sistemática observacional y retrospectiva. La búsqueda se ha restringido a artículos con texto completo, que se sometieron a una lectura crítica, utilizando la evaluación de GRADE para identificar su grado de evidencia. De un total del 100% (10) artículos científicos revisados, fueron de España 60% (6), Reino Unido 20% (2), Italia 10% (1) y Colombia 10% (1). Asimismo, los artículos científicos revisados fueron de revisión sistemática, el 100% (10), de España, Reino Unido, Italia y Colombia. Resultados: De acuerdo a los hallazgos de los estudios científicos revisados, el 100% evidenciaron que la RCP manual es eficaz para salvar vidas en pacientes con paro cardíaco súbito. Conclusiones: La revisión sistemática nos permite evidenciar que la RCP manual es eficaz en la supervivencia para salvar vidas en pacientes con paro cardíaco súbito.
