Knowledge and application of biosafety measures for nursing staff in the sterilization center of the Hospital Base III Juliaca – EsSalud, 2022

Abstract

The objective of this research will be to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practices of biosafety measures of the nursing staff in the Sterilization Center of Hospital Base III Juliaca- EsSalud, 2022. Methodological design: The type of research will be basic. The method will be hypothetical-deductive, observational, descriptive and transversal. The design to be used will be correlational. Population: It will be 20 nursing professionals who work in the Sterilization Center of Hospital Base III. Sample: It will be made up of 20 nurses. Instruments: To evaluate the variable: knowledge of biosafety measures, a questionnaire with optional answers will be applied and to evaluate the practical variable of biosafety measures, an observation sheet will be applied to be able to observe the actions carried out by the nursing staff. The data collection techniques will be the survey and observation. Data processing and analysis: It will be carried out through the application of descriptive statistics that will present the results in frequency tables and inferential statistics through the application of Spearman's Rho test to verify the hypotheses raised in the investigation.

El objetivo de la presente investigación será determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y prácticas de medidas de bioseguridad del personal de enfermería en la Central de Esterilización del Hospital Base III Juliaca – EsSalud, 2022. Diseño metodológico: El tipo de investigación será básica. El método será hipotético-deductivo, observacional, descriptivo y trasversal. El diseño que se utilizará será correlacional. Población: Será de 20 profesionales de enfermería que laboran en la Central de Esterilización del Hospital Base III Juliaca Muestra: Estará conformada por las 20 enfermeras. Instrumentos: Para evaluar la variable: conocimiento de medidas de bioseguridad, se aplicará un cuestionario con respuestas opcionales y para evaluar la variable aplicación de medidas de bioseguridad, se aplicará una ficha de observación para poder observar las acciones que realiza el personal de enfermería. Las técnicas de recolección de datos serán la encuesta y la observación. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: Se realizará mediante la aplicación de la estadística descriptiva que presentará los resultados en tablas de frecuencias y la estadística inferencial mediante la aplicación de la prueba Rho de Spearman para comprobar las hipótesis planteadas en la investigación.
