Degree of depression and its relationship with family support perceived by the elderly in a hospital in the district of Comas Lima 2023

Abstract

Objective: to establish a relationship between the degree of depression and family support of the elderly in a hospital in Comas. Material and methods: it belongs to the hypothetical deductive method, quantitative, relational approach and non-experimental, cross-sectional design. To collect the data, the survey will be used, using the "Geriatric Depression Scale - Yesavage" and the "Family Support Degree" and will be covered by applying the instruments to a population of 80 people. Results: they are obtained from the analysis of information collected by the application of instruments, presented in tables, figures and/or statistical tests according to the behavior of the data. It will use the correlation of Rho Spearman to look for the relation about the two principals changeable. Conclusions: the most important results will be presented according to the purpose of the study.

Establecer relación de grado de depresión y apoyo familiar del adulto mayor en un hospital de Comas. El método es hipotético deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, relacional y de diseño no experimental, transversal. Para recolectar los datos se utilizará la encuesta, haciendo uso de la “Escala de Depresión Geriátrica – Yesavage” y de “Grado Apoyo Familiar” y se abarcará aplicando los instrumentos a una población de 80 personas. Se obtendrá del análisis de información recolectada por la aplicación de instrumentos, presentados en tablas, figuras y/o pruebas estadísticas según el comportamiento de los datos. Se usará la correlación de Rho Spearman para hallar la relación de las dos variables principales. Se presentarán los resultados más importantes según el propósito del estudio.
