Depression and anxiety levels in users served at the san cosme community mental health center during the covid-19 pandemic period in 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the levels of depression and anxiety in users treated during the COVID-19 pandemic period at the San Cosme community mental health center. Methodology: A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study. The sample consists of 168 users diagnosed with anxiety and/or depression who received care at the San Cosme Community Mental Health Center during the COVID-19 pandemic period in 2021, selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria set out in the research. Data collection techniques and instruments: The survey technique will be used, using 2 instruments: The PHQ - 9 (PatientHealthQuestionnaire) and the Carroll and Davidson Generalized Anxiety Disorder Detection Scale. Procedures: Data collection will be carried out for 3 months at the San Cosme Community Mental Health Center. At the end of the data collection, a database will be created in the Microsoft Excel program.

Objetivo: Determinar los niveles de depresión y ansiedad en los usuarios atendidos durante el periodo de pandemia COVID-19 en el centro de salud mental comunitario San Cosme. Metodología: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo, de corte transversal. la muestra está constituida por 168 usuarios con diagnóstico de ansiedad y/o depresión que recibieron atención en el Centro de Salud Mental Comunitario San Cosme durante el periodo de pandemia COVID-19 en el año 2021, seleccionados de acuerdo a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión planteados en la investigación. Técnicas e Instrumentos de recolección de datos: Se utilizará la técnica de la encuesta, mediante 2 instrumentos: El PHQ – 9 (PatientHealthQuestionnaire) y la Escala de Detección del Trastorno de Ansiedad Generalizada de Carroll y Davidson. Procedimientos: la recolección de datos se realizará durante 3 meses en el centro de Salud Mental Comunitario San Cosme, al concluir con la recolección de datos se creará una base de datos en el programa de Microsoft Excel.
