Sociodemographic characteristics and static and dynamic postural control of older adults attending a national hospital, Huánuco, 2023

Abstract

The thesis project aims to determine the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and static and dynamic postural control in the elderly in Huánuco. The research will be conducted at the Hermilio Valdizan Medrano Regional Hospital over 14 months, with a population of 80 elderly adults, using a hypothetical-deductive methodology. Techniques and tools such as the Mini Best Test will be used, and a data collection form will be created. The practical justification for this project is that the results will help generate new strategies or approaches to guide and raise awareness among elderly people and the multidisciplinary health team about the sociodemographic characteristics and their relationship with static and dynamic postural control. The theoretical framework presents background and theories related to the research topic, while the methodology details the procedures to be followed.

El proyecto de tesis tiene como objetivo determinar el nivel de relación entre las características sociodemográficas y control postural estático y dinámico del adulto mayor en Huánuco. La investigación se realizará en el Hospital Regional Hermilio Valdizan Medrano durante un período de 14 meses, en una población de 80 AM y la metodología será hipotético deductivo. Se utilizarán técnicas y herramientas (Mini Best Test) de igual manera se realizará una ficha para la recolección de datos. Dentro de la justificación practica los resultados que se brindarán en el proyecto, favorecerá en poder generar estrategias nuevas o abordajes para poder guiar y concientizar a los adultos mayores y al equipo multidisciplinario de salud sobre las características sociodemográficas y su relación con el control postural estático y dinámico. En el marco teórico se presentan antecedentes y teorías relacionadas con el tema de la investigación, mientras que en la metodología se detallan los procedimientos que se seguirán para llevar a cabo la investigación.
