Achievement of functional independence of patients with hemiplegic stroke after physiotherapy treatment in a rehabilitation hospital in Lima, period January to June 2017

Abstract

The objective was to evaluate the achievement of functional independence after physiotherapy treatment in patients with hemiplegic stroke. The instrument used was the Barthel test - Functional Independence. The sample consisted of 72 patients of both genders, including ages from 20 to 79 years. SPSS 20 statistical program was used. Our research has a Non-Experimental – Descriptive design, since no variable will be manipulated, the fact will be described as it is, no situation is constructed or created, only the existing one is described.

El objetivo fue evaluar el logro de la independencia funcional post tratamiento fisioterapéutico en pacientes con accidente cerebro vascular de tipo hemipléjico .El instrumento que se utilizo fue, el test de Barthel -Independencia Funcional .La muestra consto de 72 pacientes de ambos géneros, entre las edades de 20 a 79 años. Se utilizó programa estadístico SPSS 20. Nuestra investigación es de diseño No Experimental – Descriptivo, pues no se manipulará ninguna variable, se describirá el hecho tal y cual es, no se construye ni se crea ninguna situación, solo se describe la ya existente.
