Family support and self-care capacity of peritoneal dialysis patients at Ramiro Priale Priale Essalud hospital - Huancayo, 2020

Abstract

Materials and methods: This research work has a quantitative approach, descriptive method, cross-sectional design, and correlational. The population will be made up of 50 patients treated in the Peritoneal Dialysis Service at the Ramiro Priale Priale Hospital of ESSALUD – Huancayo. The instruments used in this study were developed by nursing graduates Gil Bazán Cinthia Marisol and Ramos Sanes Sara Carmen; whose validity of the instruments was evaluated through expert judgment; The results were subjected to the binomial test, obtaining the statistical significance value of (p = 0.023). Regarding confidentiality, it was tested through the Cronbach's Alpha statistic (α=0.84). The technique will be a survey and as an instrument two structured questionnaires, Likert scale type, composed of closed questions, consisting of an introduction, general and specific data on family support and self-care capacity of the patient in the Peritoneal Dialysis Service at the Ramiro Hospital. Priale Priale de ESSALUD – Huancayo, 2020. To carry out the statistical analysis methodology, once the data information has been collected, it will be coded in the Microsoft Excel program; Likewise, the SPSS Statistical Program version 25.0 will be used to carry out the findings or results of the study, which will be expressed in tables and bar or pie graphs, depending on the variable and dimensions of the study. These will help to carry out the discussion with the background of the study, and in turn the possible conclusions and recommendations of the study will be made.

Materiales y métodos: El presente trabajo de investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo, método descriptivo, diseño de corte transversal, y correlacional. La población estará conformada por 50 paciente atendidos en el Servicio de Diálisis Peritoneal en el Hospital Ramiro Priale Priale de ESSALUD – Huancayo. Los instrumentos que se utilizan en este estudio fueron elaborados por las Licenciadas de enfermería Gil Bazán Cinthia Marisol y Ramos Sanes Sara Carmen; cuya validez de los instrumentos fue evaluada a través de juicio de expertos; los resultados se sometieron a la prueba binomial, obtuvieron el valor de significancia estadística de (p = 0.023), En cuanto a la confidencialidad se probó a través del estadístico Alfa de Cronbach (α=0.84). La técnica será una encuesta y como instrumento dos cuestionarios estructurados, tipo Escala de Likert, compuesto por preguntas cerradas, consta de introducción, datos generales y específicos sobre el apoyo familiar y capacidad de autocuidado del paciente en el Servicio de Diálisis Peritoneal en el Hospital Ramiro Priale Priale de ESSALUD – Huancayo, 2020. Para realizar la metodología del análisis estadístico, una vez recopilado la información de los datos, estos se codificarán en el programa Microsoft Excel; asimismo, se hará uso del Programa Estadístico SPSS versión 25.0, para poder realizar los hallazgos o resultados del estudio, que serán plasmados en tablas y gráficos de barras o tortas, según la variable y dimensiones del estudio. Estos ayudarán a que se puedan realizar la discusión con los antecedentes del estudio, y a su vez se harán las posibles conclusiones y recomendaciones del estudio.
