Level of knowledge of the electrocardiogram and practice in nursing professionals in the emergency service

Abstract

Objective: To determine how level of knowledge is related to practice in use of the electrocardiogram in nursing professionals in the emergency area of a public hospital from Barranca. Methodology: The researching to be applied on terms of type would be applied, the approach to be considered corresponds to quantitative one, and the non-experimental, observational, and correlational designed, in terms of cut it would correspond to the cross-sectional one. Population and Sample: It would be made up of 45 nurses, which will be determined for the convenience of the researching through non-probabilistic sampling. Technique and Instruments: Regarding the techniques to being used, they would correspond to the survey and observation, the psychometric instruments to be used would correspond to a questionnaire of knowledge of the use of the electrocardiogram and an Observational Guide of the Electrocardiogram Taking, it is specified that these have a reliability Kuder Richarson's and Cronbach's Alpha with to values equivalent in 0.866 and 0.671 respectively. Data processing and analysis: The collected was information would be treated in an excel template for corresponding control and classification, and type of relationship that exists between variables evaluated in the study would be establishing, applying the to-called non-parametric inferential of statistics the through of the chi square test.

Objetivo: Determinar cómo el nivel de conocimiento se relaciona con la práctica en el uso del electrocardiograma en los profesionales enfermeros del área de emergencia de un hospital público de Barranca. Metodología: La pesquisa será de tipo aplicada, enfoque cuantitativo, y el diseño no experimental, observacional, con nivel correlacional, en cuanto al corte corresponderá al transversal. Población y Muestra: Se encontrará constituida por 45 enfermeros, la que será determinada por conveniencia del investigador a través del muestreo no probabilístico. Técnica e Instrumentos: Respecto de las técnicas a emplearse corresponderán a la encuesta y observación, los instrumentos psicométricos a utilizarse corresponderán a un cuestionario de conocimientos del uso del electrocardiograma y una Guía Observacional de la Toma de Electrocardiograma, se precisa que estos disponen de una confiabilidad de Kuder Richarson y Alfa de Cronbach con valores equivalentes a 0,866 y 0,671 respectivamente. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: La información relevada se tratará en una plantilla excel para el control y clasificación correspondiente, y se establecerá el tipo de relación que existe entre las variables evaluadas en el estudio, aplicándose la denominada estadística inferencial no paramétrica por intermedio de la prueba de Chi Cuadrado
