Psychological impact and coping strategies post-pandemic COVID 19 in intensive care nurses of a MINSA hospital, 2023

Abstract

Introduction: The psychological impact that occurred during the pandemic caused consequences in nursing professionals; Likewise, a series of coping strategies were developed to be able to face the crisis due to the pandemic. Objective: Determine the relationship between the psychological impact and coping strategies post-COVID-19 pandemic in intensive care nurses at the María Auxiliadora Hospital, 2023. Method: The study will present a quantitative approach with a correlational and cross-sectional design. They will participate in the study with a number of 90 Nursing personnel between technicians and nursing professionals. For the collection it will use the survey technique and the instrument a questionnaire. The instrument that was considered for data collection is the questionnaire to measure the variable "Psychological impact" by the author Odriozola et al, and for the variable "Coping strategies" by the author Aponte et al. For the statistical analysis, two processes will be executed, the first descriptive statistics represented by tables and graphs and inferential statistics to determine the relationship of the variables where the Chi-square correlation coefficient will be used.

El impacto psicológico que se registró durante la pandemia provoco consecuencias en los profesionales de enfermería; así mismo se desarrollaron una serie de estrategias de afrontamiento para poder afrontar la crisis por la pandemia objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el impacto psicológico y estrategias de afrontamiento post pandemia COVID-19 en enfermeras de cuidados intensivos del Hospital María Auxiliadora, 2023. Método: El estudio presentará un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño no experimental y de nivel correlacional y de corte transversal. Participaran en el estudio 90 personal asistencial entre técnicos y profesionales de enfermería. Para la recolección de datos se usará el instrumento que se consideró para recolección de datos es el cuestionario para medir la variable” Impacto psicológico” del autor Odriozola et al, y para la variable “Estrategias de afrontamiento” del autor Aponte et al. Para el análisis estadístico se ejecutará dos procesos, el primero estadístico descriptivo representados por tablas y gráficos y estadística inferencial para determinar la relación de las variables en donde se usará el coeficiente de correlación de Chi cuadrado
