Coping strategies and stress level of nursing staff in the operating room of a national hospital in Lima, 2022

Abstract

According to the WHO, work-related stress is the response that people may have when they are presented with work demands and pressures that do not correspond to their knowledge and skills. Objective: Determine the relationship between coping strategies and stress levels of nursing staff in the operating room of a National Hospital in Lima, 2022. Methodology: The method will be hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, non-intervention design of correlational scope, the population will be made up of 110 nurses from the operating room of the hospital under study, the sample will be census based because it is a small population. To collect data on the variables, the survey technique and questionnaire instruments will be applied. The data will be processed in the SPSS V26 statistical program, frequency tables, tables and/or graphs will be obtained; Furthermore, the hypotheses will be contrasted with Spearman's Rho Correlation Statistical Test, having a significance level of p < 0.05.

Según la OMS, el estrés relacionado con el trabajo es la respuesta que las personas pueden tener cuando se les presentan demandas y presiones laborales que no se corresponden con sus conocimientos y habilidades. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y los niveles de estrés del personal de enfermería de sala de operaciones de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2022. Metodología: El método será hipotético–deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño sin intervención de alcance correlacional, la población será conformada por 110 enfermeros de la sala de operaciones del hospital objeto de estudio, la muestra será censal por ser una población pequeña. Para la recolección de datos de las variables se aplicará la técnica de la encuesta y los instrumentos cuestionarios., los datos serán procesados en el programa estadístico SPSS V26, se obtendrán tablas de frecuencia, tablas y/o gráficos; además, las hipótesis serán contrastadas con la Prueba Estadística de Correlación Rho de Spearman, teniendo un nivel de significancia de p < 0.05.
