Biosecurity measures and prevention of infections associated with nurse health care for patients in the intensive care unit from a national hospital of Lima, 2023

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between biosafety measures and the prevention of infections associated with nursing health care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit of a National Hospital in Lima, 2023. Methods: The study will use the hypothetical method deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental, cross-sectional, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational design. The population and sample will be made up of 30 nursing professionals, the sampling being non-probabilistic for convenience. For the processing and analysis of the survey data, first the collected information will be ordered, then the coding will be carried out, once the data is collected, the data will be organized according to their study variables, the data will be processed using the Microsoft Excel program and SPSS statistical software to generate tables and/or graphs by dimensions and indicators of the study of the first variable, biosafety measures, and the second variable, prevention of infections associated with health care; likewise, to determine the relationship between the variables, the Spearman Statistical Correlation Test (Rho) will be applied.

Determinar la relación entre las medidas de bioseguridad y la prevención de infecciones asociadas al cuidado de la salud del enfermero a pacientes de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2023. Métodos: El estudio se utilizará el método hipotético-deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental, transversal, de corte transversal, descriptivo y correlacional. La población y muestra estará conformada por 30 profesionales de enfermería, siendo el muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Para el procesamiento y análisis de los datos de la encuesta, primero se ordenará la información recolectada, luego se llevará a cabo la codificación, una vez recolectados los datos se organizará los datos de acuerdo a sus variables de estudio, los datos se procesarán utilizando el programa Microsoft Excel y el software estadístico SPSS para generar tablas y/o gráficos por dimensiones e indicadores del estudio de la primera variable medidas de bioseguridad y de la segunda variable prevención de infecciones asociadas al cuidado de la salud; asimismo, para determinar la relación entre las variables se aplicará la Prueba Estadística de Correlación de Spearman (Rho).
