Effective scale to assess the risk of pressure ulcer in pediatric patients

Abstract

Systematic, observational and retrospective review, the search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to a critical reading, using the Grade evaluation to identify the degree of evidence. Results: In the final selection, 07 articles were chosen, 58% (4) correspond to Spain, with 14% (1) found in England, 14% Colombia and 14% Brazil. Likewise, according to the type of study, 43% correspond to Systematic Reviews, 14% Prospective Cohort, 29% Descriptive, 14% Cross-sectional Study. Conclusions: According to the results obtained from the systematic review, they show that of the total of 7 studies, equivalent to 58% corresponds to demonstrating that the Braden scale is effective in evaluating the risk of pressure ulcer in pediatric patients.

Revisión Sistemática, observacional y retrospectivo, la búsqueda se ha restringido a artículos con texto completo, y los artículos seleccionados se sometieron a una lectura crítica, utilizando la evaluación Grade para identificar el grado de evidencia. Resultados: En la selección definitiva se eligieron 07 artículos, el 58% (4) corresponden a España, con un 14% (1) encontramos en Inglaterra, 14% Colombia y 14% Brasil. Dela misma manera según el tipo de estudio 43% corresponde a Revisiones Sistemáticas, 14% Cohorte prospectivo, 29% Descriptivos, 14% Estudio Transversal. Conclusiones: Según los resultados obtenidos de la revisión sistemática, muestran que del total de 7 estudios, equivalente al 58% corresponde a demostrar que la escala de Braden es eficaz para evaluar el riesgo de úlcera por presión en pacientes pediátricos.
