Level of surgical handwashing knowledge and its relationship with compilance among personnel in the surgical center of a public hospital

Abstract

This research aims to: determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and compliance with surgical handwashing in a public hospital in Cercado de Lima. Methodology: hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental design, quantitative approach, descriptive, applied, correlational and cross-sectional. The sample will consist of 80 nurses who work in operating room. The instruments that will be used for the research work will be: the questionnaire and the checklist. The evaluation of the handwashing technique and the development of the questionnaire will last approximately 20 and 10 minutes respectively, with these data being subsequently analyzed using tables and graphs. Likewise, for the contrasting of the hypothesis, the Spearman Test will be used as a statistical estimate, with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 5%, which will be reflected in the contingency table of both variables.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y cumplimiento del lavado de manos quirúrgico del personal de centro quirúrgico de un hospital público. Material y método: La investigación responde al método hipotético - deductivo, tiene enfoque cuantitativo, diseño observacional, no experimental, con corte transversal y correlativo, la población la constituirán 80 enfermeras (os) especialistas que laboran en el área de Centro Quirúrgico que laboran en un hospital público, se utilizará la técnica de la encuesta y la lista de cotejo, cuyos objetivos serán medir el nivel de conocimiento de las profesionales y evaluar la técnica correcta del lavado de manos quirúrgico respectivamente, los dos instrumentos a utilizar fueron sometidos a validez de contenido y juicio de expertos, en los cuales se encontraron confiabilidad aplicando el coeficiente de confiablidad alfa de crombach, que validaron los instrumentos
