Knowledge and practice in the face of a natural disaster of the nurses’ brigades of the regional hospital of Lima provinces, 2023

Abstract

Introduction: The inherent risk due to the uncertainty that accompanies natural disasters and the lack of public support in emergency situations has encouraged the nursing community to take measures so that efforts are oriented, through training, for the benefit of of the most prone and high-risk communities. In this way, cooperative practices will have a benefit by having a comprehensive system that knows the tasks in the different stages of possible emergencies before natural disasters. Objective: it will be to determine the relationship between knowledge and practice in the face of a natural disaster of brigade nurses from the regional hospital, Lima provinces – 2023. Methodology: it will be of a basic type, of a quantitative, descriptive - correlational, prospective and cross-sectional design. It will use statistical and analytical methods to process the data collected in the population. In the first chapter the problem was exposed, the formulation of the problems and objectives of the investigation; as well as the justification and limitations. Population: it will be made up of 84 nurses who will be part of the brigade team of the regional hospital through the application of a training where knowledge will be measured with a questionnaire and later the practical part will be measured with a standard form issued by the Pan American Health Organization.

Objetivo: será determinar la relación entre conocimiento y práctica ante un desastre natural de los enfermeros brigadistas del hospital regional, Lima provincias – 2023. Metodología: será de tipo básica, de diseño cuantitativo, descriptivo – correlacional, prospectiva y transversal. Utilizará métodos estadísticos y analíticos para procesar los datos recogidos en la población En el primer capítulo se expuso la problemática, la formulación de los problemas y objetivos de la investigación; así como la justificación y limitaciones. Población: estará conformada por 84 enfermeros que formaran parte del equipo de brigadistas del hospital regional mediante la aplicación de una capacitación donde se medirá el conocimiento con un cuestionario y posteriormente se medirá la parte práctica con un formulario estándar emitido por la Organización Panamericana de la Salud.
