Knowledge of continuous positive pressure and practice of the nursing professional in the care of premature in two hospitals in the Huánuco Region -2024

Abstract

The Objective of this study is “Determine the relationship that exists between knowledge of continuous positive pressure and the practice of nursing professionals in the care of premature babies in two hospitals in the Huánuco Region -2024” The hypothetical-deductive study method, with a quantitative approach, application type and a non-experimental design of a descriptive level with cross-sectional - correlational. Its population will be made up of 78 nurses, the survey technique will be used, using a questionnaire designed to evaluate the knowledge of nurses in the care of premature infants with CPAP. The questionnaire covers three dimensions: Technical aspects of CPAP system management, Airway Management and CPAP Management. In addition, an observation guide will be used to measure the nurses' practice in caring for premature infants with CPAP, which consists of three dimensions: Care during CPAP preparation, care during CPAP placement, and Care during hospitalization. This approach will be directed to the target population of the study. Each response collected will be processed using the SPSS V.25.0 program. To test the hypotheses raised in the study, the statistical tests of Spearman's correlation coefficient and Cronbach's Alpha will be used. These analyzes will allow us to evaluate the possible relationships and internal consistency of the data collected in relation to the knowledge and practice of nurses in caring for premature infants with CPAP.

El Objetivo del presente estudio es “Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento presión positiva continua y la práctica del profesional de enfermería en el cuidado del prematuro en dos hospitales de la Región Huánuco -2024”. El Método de estudio hipotético-deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicativo y un diseño no experimental de nivel descriptivo con corte transversal – correlacional. Su población estará conformada por 78 enfermeras, se empleará la técnica de encuesta, utilizando un cuestionario diseñado para evaluar el conocimiento de las enfermeras en el cuidado del prematuro con CPAP. El cuestionario abarca tres dimensiones: Aspectos técnicos del manejo del sistema de CPAP, Manejo de vías aéreas y Manejo del CPAP. Además, se utilizará una guía de observación para medir la práctica de las enfermeras en el cuidado del prematuro con CPAP, la cual consta de tres dimensiones: Cuidados en la preparación del CPAP, cuidados durante la colocación de CPAP y Cuidados durante la hospitalización. Este enfoque se dirigirá a la población objetivo del estudio, Cada respuesta recopilada será procesada utilizando el programa SPSS V.25.0. Para poner a prueba las hipótesis planteadas en el estudio, se emplearán las pruebas estadísticas del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman y el Alfa de Cronbach. Estos análisis permitirán evaluar las posibles relaciones y la consistencia interna de los datos recopilados en relación con el conocimiento de presión positiva continua y la práctica de las enfermeras en el cuidado del prematuro.
