Biosociocultural factors and lifestyles in pediatric patients with asthma at a National Institute of Child Health Lima, 2023

Abstract

Introduction: Biosociocultural factors and lifestyles in pediatric patients with asthma to avoid their appearance of the crisis, being essential that nursing professionals must make the family aware of the treatment of their disease, it must be as complete as possible and be transmitted in a simple and effective way, the preventive guidelines of an asthmatic crisis, these will be based simply on not getting carried away by false home beliefs and not following the medical prescription, it brings with it severe complications that even lead to death. Objective: To determine the relationship between biosociocultural factors and lifestyles in pediatric patients with asthma at a National Health Institute in Lima, 2022. Methods: The research method is hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, descriptive type and correlational design. The population and sample will be made up of 80 mothers of pediatric patients with asthma in a National Institute of Lima, with nonprobabilistic convenience sampling. For the processing and analysis of the survey data, first the collected information will be ordered, then the data coding will be carried out, once the data has been collected, the data will be organized according to its study variables, the data will be processed using the statistical software SPSS version 26.0 to generate statistical frequency tables by dimensions and indicators of the study variable; Likewise, the Microsoft Excel Program will be used for the elaboration of graphs and statistical tables.

Los factores biosocioculturales y los estilos de vida en los pacientes pediátricos con asma son esenciales para evitar su aparición de la crisis, siendo imprescindible que los profesionales de enfermería deben sensibilizar a la familia sobre los cuidados de la enfermedad, debe ser lo más entendible y eficaz, las pautas preventivas de una crisis asmática, se basaran en cumplir con el tratamiento indicado por el médico, mas no dejarse llevar por falsas creencias caseras, lo cual puede traer complicaciones severas que incluso conllevar a la muerte.
