Mothers' level of knowledge about early stimulation and practices for psychomotor development in children under 12 months of age who attend a hospital in Oxapampa 2023

Abstract

General objective: To determine how the mothers' level of knowledge about early stimulation is related to psychomotor development in children under twelve months of age in a hospital in Oxapampa, Peru in 2023.Methodology: The research will be quantitative, the method that will be used in this research is the hypothetical deductive, non-experimental type, correlational level and cross-sectional type. The population, will work with 80 mothers with their 12-month-old children, who come to the Health Center in Oxapampa, Peru. Two instruments will be used, a knowledge questionnaire on the early stimulation of mothers and the second instrument is an observation guide on early stimulation practices in their children from 0 to 12 months. Both instruments were subjected to a validity test by an expert judge, with 8 experts. What. An item test was performed using the point biserial coefficient (PBC) obtaining an r=0.58 which is valid because it is greater than 0.2, (43), for the reliability of both instruments, it was evaluated through the use of the Kuder Richarson test, obtaining Kr-20 = 0.984. the results will be tabulated in an Excel spreadsheet, using the formula to have the correct result for statistical treatment with the SPS, tables and/or graphs are elaborated, processed for analysis using inferential non-parametric statistics.

Objetivo general: Determinar como el nivel de conocimiento de las madres sobre estimulación temprana se relaciona con el desarrollo psicomotor en niños menores de doce meses en un hospital de Oxapampa, Perú en el año 2023.Metodologia: La investigación será cuantitativa el método que se empleara en la presente investigación es el hipotético deductivo, tipo no experimental, de nivel correlacional y de tipo corte transversal. La población, se trabajará con 80 madres con sus menores hijos de 12 meses, que acuden al Centro de Salud de Oxapampa, Perú. Se usará dos instrumentos, cuestionario de conocimiento sobre la estimulación temprana de las madres de familia y el 2 instrumento es guía de observación sobre prácticas de estimulación temprana en sus menores hijos de 0 a 12 meses. Ambos instrumentos fueron sometidos a una prueba de validez mediante juez de expertos, contando con 8 expertos, que. se realizó una prueba de ítems-test mediante el coeficiente biserial puntual (CBP) obteniendo un r=0.58 lo cual es válido por ser mayor a 0.2, (43), para la confiabilidad ambos instrumentos, fue valorada a través del uso de la prueba Kuder Richarson, obteniéndose Kr-20= 0.984. los resultados se tabularán en una hoja de cálculo de Excel, usando la fórmula para tener el resultado correcto para su tratamiento estadístico con la SPS, se elabora tablas y/o gráficos, procesada para su análisis mediante estadística no parametrica inferencial.
