Anxiety and depression in relatives of patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit of a Hospital in Lima Este - Vitarte, 2021

Abstract

The study will be carried out within the specialty of intensive care and focuses on theproblems regarding anxiety and depression produced in relatives of patients who arehospitalized in the aforementioned unit, a situation that becomes a great concern at the healthlevel due to the effects it can have on people's mental, emotional and physical health if it isnot treated in a timely manner. OBJECTIVE: to determine the relationship between anxietyand depression in relatives of patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit of a hospital inLima, 2021. Materials and methods: The study will have a quantitative approach,descriptive-correlational scope, with a cross-sectional, non-experimental design. The samplewill consist of 60 people. The survey technique will be used and the instruments will be theBeck Anxiety Inventory and the Beck II Depression Inventory. Keywords: anxiety;depression; intensive care; relatives of patients.

El estudio se elaborará dentro de la unidad de cuidados intensivos de un hospital de Lima yse enfocara en la problemática respecto a la ansiedad y la depresión en familiares depacientes que se encuentran internados en la unidad de cuidados intensivos, situación que seconvierte en una gran preocupación a nivel sanitario por los efectos que puede generan en lasalud mental, emocional y física de las personas si no se llega a tratar de manera oportuna.OBJETIVO: determinar cuál es la relación entre ansiedad y depresión en familiares depacientes internados en la unidad de cuidados intensivos de un hospital de Lima, Este Vitarte2021. Materiales y métodos: el estudio tendrá un enfoque cuantitativo, alcancedescriptivo-correlacional, con diseño transversal, no experimental. la muestra estaráconstituida por 60 personas. Se empleará la técnica de la encuesta y los instrumentos seránel Inventario de Ansiedad de Beck y Inventario de Depresión de Beck II.
