Knowledge about occupational health and occupational risks of workers of the security company V13 S.A.C - Lima, 2023

Abstract

Occupational health represents an area of great relevance that aims to promote and maintain the highest level of physical, mental and social well-being of workers, in such a way that some type of health hazard can be excluded and know how to manage occupational risks to that do not affect the staff. For this reason, this investigation is carried out, with the purpose of determining how knowledge about occupational health is related to the occupational risks of the workers of the security company V13 S. A. C - Lima in the year 2023, since it has been observed that a group of Employees have presented certain labor problems, which although they have not been serious, some of them require some medical attention against cuts to the skin, blows, eye inflammation, muscle pain, etc., based on the above, it is important to evaluate this situation, even more so that strategies that provide or contribute improvements in the knowledge of this population regarding occupational health have not been implemented. It is an applied, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional work, whose sample is 132 workers who belong to the security company V13 S.A.C - Lima, 2023. The technique will be the survey and the instrument include a knowledge questionnaire on occupational health and another occupational risk questionnaire, with a reliability of 0.80 and 0.985 respectively.

La salud ocupacional representa un área de gran relevancia que pretende impulsar y mantener el más alto nivel de bienestar físico, mental y social de los trabajadores, de tal manera que se pueda excluir algún tipo de peligro en la salud y saber manejar los riesgos laborales para que no repercutan en el personal. Por ello se efectúa esta investigación, con la finalidad de determinar cómo se relaciona el conocimiento sobre salud ocupacional con los riesgos laborales de los trabajadores de la empresa de seguridad V13 S. A. C – Lima en el año 2023, pues se ha observado que un grupo de empleados han presentado ciertos problemas laborales, los cuales a pesar que no han sido graves, algunos de ellos requieren cierta atención médica frente a cortes en la piel, golpes, inflamaciones oculares, dolores musculares, etc., en base a lo mencionado es trascendente evaluar dicha situación, más aún que no se ha implementado estrategias que brinden o aporten mejoras en conocimiento de esta población respecto a la salud ocupacional. Se trata de un trabajo aplicado, no experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal, cuya muestra es de 132 trabajadores que pertenecen a la empresa de seguridad V13 S.A.C - Lima, 2023. La técnica será la encuesta y el instrumento abarca un cuestionario de conocimientos sobre salud ocupacional y otro cuestionario de riesgo laboral, con una confiabilidad de 0.80 y 0.985 respectivamente.
