Knowledge about risk prevention with body fluids and the practice of the nursing professional in the intensive care unit of a national hospital in Lima, 2023

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge about risk prevention with bodily fluids and the practice of nursing professionals in the Intensive Care Unit of a National Hospital in Lima, 2023. Methods: The hypothetical-deductive method will be applied in the research, quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental, descriptive and correlational design; likewise, the population and sample made up 50 nurses. For the processing and analysis of data, first, the collected information will be ordered, then the coding will be carried out, once the data is collected, it will be organized according to its study variables, the data will be processed using the Microsoft Excel program and the SPSS statistical software. to generate tables and/or graphs by dimensions and indicators of the study of first variable knowledge about risk prevention with bodily fluids and second variable practice of the nursing professional; In addition, to determine the relationship between variables, the Spearman Statistical Correlation Test (Rho) will be applied.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento sobre prevención de riesgo con fluidos corporales y la práctica del profesional de enfermería en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2023. Métodos: En la investigación se aplicará el método hipotético-deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental, descriptivo y correlacional; asimismo, la población y muestra conformada 50 enfermeros. Para el procesamiento y análisis de datos primero, se ordenará la información recolectada, luego se llevará a cabo la codificación, una vez recolectados los datos se organizará según sus variables de estudio, los datos se procesarán utilizando el programa Microsoft Excel y el software estadístico SPSS para generar tablas y/o gráficos por dimensiones e indicadores del estudio de primera variable conocimiento sobre prevención de riesgo con fluidos corporales y segunda variable práctica del profesional de enfermería; además, para determinar la relación entre variables se aplicará la Prueba Estadística de Correlación de Spearman (Rho).
