Level of knowledge in handling cytostatics in the students of the second nursing specialty in oncology - 2021

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the level of knowledge in the handling of cytostatics in nursing students of the second specialty in oncology – 2021. Material and method: The research has a quantitative approach, non-experimental nature. The study design is descriptive and cross-sectional. The population consists of a total of 35 nursing professionals enrolled in the second specialty in oncology, which also makes up the sample. The survey technique was used, and the instrument will be a questionnaire developed by Sánchez Ticona Melissa Giovanna "Labor Factors and Level of Knowledge in the Handling of Cytostatics", which includes 18 items with structured questions about the knowledge of handling cytostatics. Its content validity was done, and it was submitted to expert judgment. Reliability was found by applying the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, obtaining a value of 0.67, which indicated excellent reliability according to the classification in the Kuder Richardson table. Data processing was done using the statistical package (SPSS) version 26.0, and also Excel 2019 was used, where the results will be presented in tables and/or graphs for further analysis and interpretation.

Objetivo: Evaluar el nivel de conocimientos en el manejo de los citostáticos en los alumnos de la segunda especialidad de enfermería en oncología – 2021. Material y método: La investigación tiene un enfoque cuantitativo, de carácter no experimental. El diseño del estudio es descriptivo y corte transversal. La población hace un total de 35 profesionales de enfermería que cursan la segunda especialidad de enfermería en oncología, al igual que la muestra, se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y el instrumento será un cuestionario elaborado por Sánchez Ticona Melissa Giovanna “Factores Laborales y Nivel de Conocimientos en el Manejo de Citostáticos”, la que describe en 18 ítems con preguntas estructuradas acerca del conocimiento sobre el manejo de los citostáticos, se hizo su validez de contenido y se sometió a juicio de expertos, se encontró confiabilidad aplicando el coeficiente de alfa de Crombach obteniendo un valor de 0,67 el que indicó excelente confiabilidad según la clasificación en la tabla de Kuder Richarson. El procesamiento de datos se hizo haciendo uso del paquete estadístico (SPSS) versión 26.0, asimismo se hizo uso del Excel 2019, en donde se presentarán en tablas y / o gráficos para su posterior análisis e interpretación.
