Quality and satisfaction with nursing care in users of the Emergency Service of Hospital II Vitarte Essalud, Lima - 2023

Abstract

Introduction: Quality nursing care is important in the emergency department, as prompt, timely, and efficient care is required due to the high-risk condition of the patients who go there. Quality nursing care increases patient satisfaction. Objective: "To determine how the quality of nursing care is related to the satisfaction of users of the Emergency Department". Methods: Using the hypothetico-deductive approach, quantitative research will be conducted as an applied study with a non-experimental design at a correlational and cross-sectional level. In a convenient sample of 90 patients, two universal questionnaires will be administered as part of a survey. The CUCACE (Quality of Nursing Care Questionnaire) derived from the NSNS (The Newcastle Satisfaction with Nursing Scale), and Patricia Larson's CARE-Q instrument modified and validated to measure satisfaction with nursing care will be used as instruments. Statistical analysis of the results will be performed with the use of software, including the wellknown SPSS 26. The findings will be displayed and deliberated through tables and figures.

En el servicio de urgencias, no se puede subestimar la importancia de los cuidados de enfermería. Los pacientes que acuden a esta área se encuentran en una condición de alto riesgo, lo que requiere una atención, rápida y eficaz. Cuando la enfermera brinda atención de alta calidad, aumenta la satisfacción del paciente. Métodos: Utilizando el enfoque hipotético-deductivo, se realizará una investigación cuantitativa como estudio aplicado con diseño no experimental a nivel correlacional y transversal. En una muestra conveniente de 90 pacientes, se administrarán dos cuestionarios universales como parte de una encuesta. Se usará como instrumentos el CUCACE (Cuestionario de Calidad de Cuidados de Enfermería) derivado del NSNS (The Newcastle Satisfaction with Nursing Scale), y el instrumento CARE-Q de Patricia Larson modificado y validado para medir la satisfacción con el cuidado de enfermería. El análisis estadístico de los resultados se realizará con el uso de software, incluido el conocido SPSS 26. Los hallazgos serán exhibidos y deliberados a través de tablas y figuras.
