Patient safety and prevention of adverse events in the surgical center service of the Hospital de San Juan de Lurigancho Lima – 2023

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between patient safety and the prevention of adverse events in the Surgical Center of the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, Lima – 2023. The research follows the hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach, applied type, and non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population consists of 46 nursing staff, with a non-probabilistic census-based sampling. Data collection involved surveys and observation, utilizing a patient safety questionnaire and a checklist for adverse event prevention. Both instruments were validated by expert judgment, achieving 100% agreement, and their reliability was confirmed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient.

El Objetivo Es Determinar como la seguridad del paciente se relaciona con la prevención de eventos adversos en el servicio del Centro Quirúrgico del Hospital de San Juan de Lurigancho Lima – 2023” Método de la investigación corresponde al Método: Hipotético deductivo, el enfoque es cuantitativo, de Tipo de estudio corresponde a aplicada, de diseño no experimental de corte transversal. Su población total son de 46 personal de enfermería del servicio del Centro Quirúrgico del Hospital de San Juan de Lurigancho Lima – 2023. El muestreo es no probabilístico Censal. La técnica usada es la encuesta y observación y el instrumentos utilizado es el cuestionario sobre seguridad del paciente y ficha de cotejo titulada ficha de cotejo de prevención de eventos adversos.que fueron sometidos a juicio de expertos, se encontró confiabilidad aplicando el coeficiente de confiablidad alfa de crombach Quienes en un 100% concordaron que el instrumento es válido (45).
