Knowledge and practice on breast cancer prevention among users of the oncology service of a hospital in Junín, 2022

Abstract

About 10 million deaths occurred as a result of cancer in the course of 2020, it is estimated that this disease will cause about 30 million deaths in 2040. This study will have the objective: “To determine how the level of knowledge is related to the practice on the prevention of breast cancer in users of the oncology service”, the approach will be quantitative with a hypothetical deductive method; with a cross-sectional, non-experimental and correlational design, the type of study is applied, the sample will be made up of 70 patients who attend the Ramiro Priale Priale hospital in the department of Junín, since the sample is small so it will be census, Two validated instruments will be used as the questionnaire for the first variable and in the second variable it will also be a questionnaire, to process and analyze the data, Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 26 will be used, for the hypothesis test the chi will be applied. square which is a non-parametric test that seeks the correlation of the variables, the results of the study will be displayed in tables and graphs.

Unos 10 millones de muertes se produjeron producto del cáncer en el trascurso del año 2020, se estima que esta enfermedad causará unos 30 millones de decesos en el 2040 este estudio tendrá como Objetivo: “Determinar como el nivel de conocimiento se relaciona con la práctica sobre la prevención del cáncer de mama en las usuarias del servicio de oncología”, el enfoque será cuantitativo con un método hipotético deductivo; con un diseño transversal, no experimental y correlacional, el tipo de estudio es aplicada, la muestra estará conformada por 70 pacientes que acuden al del hospital Ramiro Priale Priale en el departamento de Junín, dado que la muestra es pequeña por lo que será censal, se utilizara dos instrumentos validados como el cuestionario para la primera variable y en la segunda variable también será un cuestionario, para procesar y analizar los datos se utilizara un Microsoft Excel y el SPSS versión 26, para la prueba de hipótesis se aplicará el chi cuadrado que es una prueba no paramétrica que busaca la correlación de las variables, los resultados que arroja el estudio serán exhibidos en tablas y gráficos.
